Social Studies: World Cultures is an overview of the history and culture of the world from the beginning of recorded history to start of Western Civilization. In the class we cover three major topics; Early Civilizations, Religiong of the World, and Geography. Gym: Getting physical and moving around helps the students keep fit and enjoy a healthy, happy lifestyle.
Study Skills: This is a course that students study a lot of Vocabulary and keep up with what is going on in the world with Current Events. Also, they learn proper study techniques and applying them to all of the other subjects. Finally, we do PSSA Math and Science prep. Keyboarding: This course will introduce students to proper keyboarding techniques including posture and touch typing. Emphasis will be given to accuracy and speed. If time permits students will be introduced to basic office documents like memos and letters.
Math: This course teaches students the basic concepts of Geometry and Pre-Algebra. Health: This course teaches the Systems of the Body and How they Work.
English: This course covers the writing process and traits of writing, plus narative, informative, persuasive, research, and creative writing. Music: This course is designed to give students music writing skills that they can use for the rest of their lives, while reviewing the basic skills, theory, and history that allow us to understand music and participate in music in our daily lives.
Science: This course covers topics in the areas of Life and Physical Science. Home Ec: This course introduces students to short sewing project, nutrition, kitchen safety and basic kitchen skills.
Reading: This course teaches reading strategies and basic reading concepts. Library:This course teaches students the basics of using the library.

Junior Band: This course's student members rehearse daily with the performance goals throughout the year, and are involved in individual or small group lessons to teach the fundamentals of their instrument and build strong instrumental musicians. Band provides both a learning and social experience for CV 7th graders.

Junior Chorus: This course's student members rehearse daily with the performance goals throughout the year, and work on their music reading ability to shape strong vocal musicians and prepare the students for the much more demanding Senior Chorus requirements. Chorus provides both a learning and social experience for CV 7th graders.

Social Studies: American History I is an Overview of American history from colonization to the Civil War. In the class we cover six major topics; Pre-Revolution, American Revolution, Constitution and Citizenship, Industrial Revolution, and Westward Expansion. Wood Shop: This course teaches students to work with wood, including making a cool wooden box.
